Whether it’s your own historic home or an entire town, preservation makes good sense! It’s doable, cost-effective, good for business, and good for growth in towns like Aiken.

The Historic Aiken Foundation has organized a special event for our Fall Meeting – an Expert Workshop on Preservation. Donovan Rypkema, Kristopher King, Mike Bedenbaugh and other nationally recognized experts will talk about the economics of preservation, share preservation stories from other cities, dispel myths about preservation, and tell what preservation means to Aiken and how it can keep Aiken vital.

Our experts will conclude the workshop with a panel discussion. Don’t miss this!

There will be two identical 90-minute sessions, 1 pm, and 6 pm. Prior to the 6 p.m. session, there will be an opportunity to meet our speakers and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine. Doors will open at 5 p.m.

This workshop is free and open to the public.
