Join the Aiken County Historical Society and the Historic Aiken Foundation as they recognize the Johnson-McGhee Building!
The event will start with guest speakers Linda Johnson and Bill McGhee, who will tell the remarkable story of the building, the McGhee cousins, Dr. CC Johnson, and a soda fountain that served both Black and White patrons during the days of segregation.
We will unveil the marker after the lecture, take it to its new home at the Johnson-McGhee Building to be placed, then enter the former CC Johnson Drugstore to enjoy a reception! Don’t miss this!
